Grantees

The Genuardi Family Foundation is privileged to partner with many regional organizations whose direct services aid the most vulnerable, and support the development of healthy individuals, families and communities.

We proudly present a small sampling of our 2011 grantees:

Acting Without Boundaries
, located in Bryn Mawr, is an innovative year-round tuition-free theater program that provides an open forum for the creative and artistic expression of children, teens, and young adults with physical disabilities. Funding will support AWB’s general operations and programs, including monthly four-hour workshops that are designed and conducted by professional actors and theater educators. AWB’s programs provide disabled young people with the opportunity to pursue their love of acting and performing while building their belief in themselves and their abilities.

Funding will help to sustain shelter operations for 40 individuals (20 single homeless women and 20 single homeless men). Comprehensive support services include primary medical care, treatment for substance abuse and mental health problems, and assistance in securing sustainable employment. The program promotes residential stability for extremely vulnerable adults, helping them to improve their health outcomes, increase their skills and income, and break the cycle of homelessness.
